Jakarta, Tintanusantara.co.id – 20 December 2025  Allegations of illegal financial practices involving PT BAT Instrumen Bank Internasional (BAT Bank) have intensified after an alleged victim of fraud and embezzlement officially granted full legal authority to the Central Executive Board of Cerdas Waspada Investasi Global (DPP CWIG) to pursue necessary legal actions.

The power of attorney became effective on 17 December 2025 and covers the issuance of formal legal notices (somasi), civil and criminal legal actions, as well as complaints to relevant authorities, in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations of Indonesia.

Victim’s Statement: DDC Document Presented with “Printing Money of Indonesia” Claim

Based on the victim’s testimony, during a meeting at the BAT Bank office, the CEO known as Dato Sulaiman allegedly presented a Demand Deposit Certificate (DDC) directly to the victim and several prospective Platinum Membership clients.

According to the victim, the DDC document was displayed using LED lighting and a mobile phone flashlight to highlight the Garuda emblem and certain visual security features, accompanied by a verbal claim that the document was part of “printing money of Indonesia,” as stated by Dato Sulaiman.

However, the use of such a narrative in relation to a commercial financial document is considered potentially misleading, as it may create the impression that the document has legitimacy, affiliation, or authorization from the state’s monetary authorities.

The Chairman of DPP CWIG, Henry Hosang, emphasized that authority over the monetary system, including the issuance and security of state-related documents, lies with Bank Indonesia. Meanwhile, the printing of state security documents is carried out by Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (PERURI) under official government mandate, not by private entities.

He further stated that based on official correspondence from relevant authorities received by CWIG, BAT Bank does not hold licenses from either the Financial Services Authority (OJK) or Bank Indonesia to operate as a financial institution in Indonesia.

Digital Legal Notice Issued

Henry Hosang confirmed that legal steps have been taken in a measured and procedural manner.

“On 18 December 2025, CWIG issued a formal legal notice via email and WhatsApp to BAT Bank’s management. In the near future, a physical legal notice will also be delivered as a formal procedural reinforcement,” he stated.

He emphasized that should the legal notice be ignored, the Legal Team of DPP CWIG will proceed with further legal actions in strict accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Indonesia.
